Orioles minor league recap 4/6: Brandon Young shines in Norfolk start

Related Topics: Norfolk Tides, Marco Estrada

Starting pitcher Brandon Young had an excellent start. He pitched 5.1 innings without allowing a hit. He walked one batter and struck out eight. It doesn’t get much better than that. In 11.1 innings this season, Young has yet to allow an earned run.

The Knights scored both of their runs in the eighth inning against Luis González on a two-run homer. He also walked two batters in his 1.2 innings.

On offense, the Tides scored three runs in the first two innings. Coby Mayo doubled in the first run, then came in to score on an infield single from Jud Fabian.
