The Tides late offensive rally came up just short. They were down 4-0 heading into the seventh inning, eventually made it a one-run game and even loaded the bases in the ninth inning, but could not scratch across that tying run.
Cedric Mullins was atop the lineup and had himself a nice 1-for-3 game with two walks. D.J. Stewart added two walks as well. Ryan Mountcastle singled once, drove in a run and struck out twice, including fot the final out of the game while the bases were juiced.
Keegan Akin lasted just four innings, but all three runs he allowed came off of an Earl Weaver special in that fourth and final frame.
