Triple-A: Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (MIA) 8, Norfolk Tides 4
The Tides couldn’t keep up their winning ways against the Jumbo Shrimp. Kyle Bradish tossed his first Triple-A rehab start, and his control was a little off: he issued three walks, hit a batter, and uncorked a wild pitch. But he did throw 64 pitches and completed 3 1/3 innings while striking out four, which has to be considered a win.
The Tides scored their four runs off #20 prospect Nick Monteverde on a pair of two-run home runs: one by Ryan McKenna in the first inning, one by Peyton Burdick in the fifth.
