Norfolk’s winning homestand came to an ugly end on Sunday. The Charlotte Knights tagged Lucas Long for six runs, including five in a grueling six-run third inning. Long left with this line: 2 innings pitched, 5 hits, 6 runs, 2 walks, 1 strikeout, an 11.25 ERA. Luis Ysla came in to limit the damage, and he did—sort of?—over three innings, giving up two runs and seven hits. Tanner Chleborad, making his AAA debut, gave up four over two innings, and the Knights tacked on two more off Sean Gilmartin in the eighth, including on a Nicky Delmonico home run.
