Triple-A: Gwinnett Stripers (ATL) 12, Norfolk Tides 8
Sorry to say—from the first Norfolk pitching was bad. Starter Cameron Weston walked his first three hitters, let all of them score, then in his next inning he allowed a triple, a HBP and a homer. Weston did get five more outs after that, so that’s good. Nate Webb relieved Weston and allowed one run in 1.1 innings. Cody Poteet pitched a good sixth inning, but allowed five runs in the seventh and couldn’t retire anyone in the eighth. At least Corbin Martin and Grant Wolfram pitched well, each with a scoreless inning to end the game.
