The most important thing that happened in this game is that Gunnar Henderson got back on the diamond in some kind of real game. He joined the Tides for a rehab assignment as their season begins, just like the Orioles said he would. There were no setbacks preventing that.
Henderson did not play the full game. That was probably part of the plan. He led off for Norfolk and was in there long enough for three at-bats, of which one was a hit. Henderson also had a fielding error, one of three committed by the Tides on a sloppy night.
