Orioles manager Buck Showalter ejected in second inning of series finale in Houston

Orioles manager Buck Showalter was ejected from Thursday’s series finale against the Astros after the top of the second inning for arguing balls and strikes.

Displeased by home plate umpire Brian Gorman’s liberal strike zone early in the game – seven of the nine outs at that point in the game were strikeouts – Showalter was ejected after arguing with from the dugout following an inning-ending called strike three on Ryan Flaherty.

Showalter then walked out of the dugout, past Gorman and in front of home plate to demonstrate how far off the plate he believed the pitches were.
