Some of the top stars in minor league baseball will be in Maryland this time next summer as the Orioles' Carolina League affiliate, the Frederick Keys, is set to host the 2019 Carolina League All-Star Classic next June 18 at Nymeo Field.
It will mark the third All-Star game the Keys have put on after hosting the Carolina League All-Star Game in 1991 and the 2005 interleague All-Star contest between the Carolina League and the California League.
“We are incredibly excited to have some of the best young players in Minor League Baseball come to Frederick for the 2019 Carolina League All-Star Classic,” Keys General Manager Dave Ziedelis said in a statement.
