The Orioles are glad to get out of Boston, where their four-game series seemed to last an eternity.
It started with the bizarre Ubaldo Jimenez ejection on Friday night, then continued with Saturday’s snail-paced game with meticulous Red Sox right-hander Clay Buchholz on the mound.
There were David Ortiz’s tantrum theatrics on Sunday, and a nice little 1-hour, 42-minute rain delay to cap it all off on Monday in a game that included three errors.
Oh, and along the way, the Orioles lost second baseman Jonathan Schoop for a projected six-to-eight weeks.
