The slumping May Orioles lineup going up against a strong Mariners pitching staff seemed like it could be a bad combination. Maybe the Mariners staff only looks so strong because they haven’t had to face the O’s yet. Gunnar Henderson led off with a home run as the O’s hosed down Seattle for five runs in the first, and he delivered a triple later on as the Orioles tacked on four more to make it a stress-free blowout with a 9-2 win.
Adding on to things that you can feel good about from the Friday night win is that John Means threw six solid innings, allowing just two runs, to pick up a win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards for the first time since the 2021 season.
