Orioles first baseman Chris Davis leaves Monday's game with right oblique strain

Orioles first baseman Chris Davis left Monday’s game with the Chicago White Sox in the third inning with a right oblique strain, the team announced.

Davis lined out to right field to end a bases-loaded threat in the top of the third inning for the Orioles and didn’t return for the home half of the frame. Trey Mancini replaced him at first base, and Hyun Soo Kim took over for Mancini in left field.

While the severity of the injury is unknown, Davis dealt with a nagging oblique injury in 2014, which was his worst season with the Orioles.
