FanFest, a pre-spring training Orioles tradition for 30 years, will not return next year, team officials confirmed.
Since 1989, the event has hosted panels, autograph sessions, giveaways and kids' activities and provided access to the home dugout and clubhouse at Camden Yards.
MASN first suggested the Orioles may cancel FanFest. The Baltimore Sun was the first to report the ax had fallen.
A team official suggested to the Sun that one or more smaller events could take the place of the daylong showcase at the Baltimore Convention Center.
The rebuilding Orioles finished last in the American League East with a 54-108 record and will pick second in next year's draft, behind the Detroit Tigers.
