The Orioles claimed infielder/outfielder Joey Terdoslavich off waivers from the Atlanta Braves, the club announced Friday.
A switch hitter who can play first base and both corner outfield spots, the 27-year-old Terdoslavich has been a .221/.296/.324 career major league hitter over 92 games with the Braves over the past three seasons.
This past season, he opened the year on the disabled list with a left wrist injury, returned in early June and spent the season between the Braves and Triple-A Gwinnett. Terdoslavich hit .214/.254/.375 in 59 big league appearances with the Braves in 2015, including his first major league homer in 162 plate appearances.
