Buck Showalter has his man for opening day.
For the third straight year, Chris Tillman will take the ball for Opening Day next Monday against the Minnesota Twins at Camden Yards.
Tillman enters 2016 looking for a bounce-back season. Last year, he went 11-11 with a 4.99 ERA, a dip from his first two years as a full-season starter. Tillman was selected for the 2013 American League All-Star team, but did not pitch.
The Orioles looked to upgrade their pitching in the offseason, signing free-agent Yovani Gallardo to a two-year deal. However, one key piece of the Orioles staff, starter Kevin Gausman, will start the season on the disabled list with a shoulder issue.
