Orioles catcher Caleb Joseph said every player lives with the reality that his own and his teammates’ status on the roster could change at a moment’s notice. That doesn’t make it any easier to live with the fact that the Orioles released popular starting pitcher Miguel Gonzalez Wednesday.
“Integral part of the rebuilding of this team,” Joseph said. “He played major roles in the success, especially in ’14 that I was a part of. A great individual, a great human. I think you understand that it’s a possibility, business-wise.
“But I think it’s a shock just that it actually happens professionally.
