The Orioles selected the contract of infielder Paul Janish from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday after placing catcher Steve Clevenger on the three-day paternity list.
The club also outrighted right-handed knuckleballer Eddie Gamboa to Triple-A Norfolk, taking him off the 40-man roster. He had been designated for assignment and cleared waivers.
