SEATTLE -- Two new faces joined Baltimore on Monday as the team called up catcher Chance Sisco and right-handed pitcher Jimmy Yacabonis from Triple-A Norfolk before the opener of a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners.
Sisco was in the lineup batting seventh Monday as the designated hitter in place of Chris Davis, who was removed from the lineup by manager Buck Showalter due to illness.
"He wants to play, but he's dragging," Showalter said of Davis. " … Going to seize that opportunity to get a young player some at-bats.
