The Orioles’ bats came to life on the South Side of Chicago Thursday, and the Orioles held on for an 8-6 win in the series opener against the White Sox.
After scoring only eight runs in three games against the Cardinals, the O’s offense needed a shot in the arm. That shot in the arm seemed to come in the form of a much more patient approach that saw them take six walks and average over five pitches per plate appearance.
After falling behind 1-0 in the 1st, the Baltimore bats finally got things going in the top of the third.
