The Orioles' right-handed pitcher Darren O'Day will have season-ending surgey to repair his left hamstring.
O'Day, who exited Tuesday's game with a hamstring injury, had an MRI on Wednesday morning that revealed a Grade 2 strain. At the time, it was though he would not need surgery.
