Everybody in the MASN television audience clearly saw what the four umpires didn't during Saturday night's game between the Orioles and San Francisco Giants. That should be another wakeup call for Major League Baseball concerning its very flawed video review system.
We'll stipulate right here that the play involved almost certainly would not have changed the outcome of the game, which the Orioles lost 6-2 at AT&T Park, but it was a situation that would have been easily rectified if the replay rules did not specifically prohibit reviewing any foul ball that lands in front of the first or third base umpire.
