Murphy Drives In 4 Runs In Angels' 5-4 Win Over O's In 11

David Murphy's bases-loaded single in the 11th inning sent the Los Angeles Angels to a 5-4 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday.

Carlos Perez led off the inning with a double against rookie Chaz Roe (2-2) and Johnny Giavotella bunted a third strike foul while trying to advance him.

Lefty Brian Matusz came in to face Kole Calhoun and slipped a called third strike past him, but Murphy drove a 3-2 pitch over the head of left fielder David Lough to end it after manager Buck Showalter ordered intentional walks to Mike Trout and Albert Pujols.
