The Orioles will look to avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of the Boston Red Sox. Unfortunately, if you’ve paid attention to the O’s record at home, it’s difficult to be optimistic. Maybe they are due?
Baltimore had a chance to win yesterday’s contest but eventually fell short. If the club hopes to get the best of Boston today, they will need a good showing from the bullpen. Starter Jorge López has yet to work more than five innings, and Brandon Hyde has appeared less likely to push the envelope in recent appearances.
Getting four strong innings from López and moving on may be a winning strategy in the short term.
