Monday Bird Droppings: Where the Orioles still have nothing going on

Hello, friends.

There are now 73 days remaining until Orioles Opening Day. This is not a number that has ever been used by an Orioles player. On the other hand, 1973 is a year where the Orioles won the AL East with a 97-65 record. Alas, they fell in a then-best-of-five ALCS to the Athletics.

We’re now down to just 29 days until pitchers and catchers are required to report for the beginning of spring training. That will really be here before we know it. Every indication from Orioles beat writers is that the team will probably make at least one significant (by O’s standards) addition after spring training begins.
