BALTIMORE -- Adam Jones was a late scratch again from Tuesday's lineup against the Yankees, as the Orioles' center fielder missed his fourth consecutive game as he deals with left hip and ankle injuries.
This is the second consecutive game Baltimore posted a lineup against New York with Jones in it, only to adjust after batting practice. Jones was also initially in Monday's lineup against the Yankees, though Orioles manager Buck Showalter cautioned reporters before the game that he wanted to check on the All-Star again, and that starting him wasn't concrete.
The Memorial Day win, which began a key homestand for Baltimore against New York and Boston, improves the O's to an American League-best 16-7 at home.
