The Orioles want to give Jimmy Paredes a long look in the outfield this spring, hoping to see if an offseason of playing the position in the Dominican Republic could help the team find a position for him.
But Paredes left the Orioles’ Grapefruit League game Thursday afternoon in the second inning with an apparent injury to his left wrist.
Paredes, who started in right field Thursday, attempted to make a sliding catch on Logan Forsythe’s bloop single that dropped in a triangle between Paredes, first baseman Christian Walker and second baseman Ryan Flaherty.
