TORONTO -- Orioles manager Buck Showalter provided a roundup of injury updates on Tuesday before the Orioles' series opener against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.
Shortstop J.J. Hardy (left shoulder strain) flew to Virginia to join Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday morning to work out. He hit off a tee and took grounders. Showalter did not have an updated timeline for Hardy's rehab.
"Nothing imminent, but it's progressing," Showalter said of Hardy, who's been sidelined since late in Spring Training.
Matt Wieters (rehabbing from Tommy John surgery) is slated to catch two or three innings Friday in extended spring training in Sarasota, Fla.
