As bad as Chris Davis’ season has been — a year filled with ugly strikeout-filled dry spells at the plate — the Orioles first baseman is now going through his worst stretch of 2018.
With an 0-for-4 night that included four strikeouts and a walk in the Orioles’ 10-8 loss to the New York Yankees, Davis is 1-for-32 with 17 strikeouts over his past nine games, which marks his worst extended stretch of the season.
“It’s a tough night for him,” Orioles manager Buck Showalter said.
