Gonzalez still trying to turn corner

OAKLAND -- It's been a less-than-ideal stretch for Miguel Gonzalez.

The righty, who has traditionally been one of Baltimore's more dependable starting pitchers, hasn't been able to go deep into games during this inconsistent 2015 season. That trend continued in Tuesday night's 5-0 loss to the A's as Gonzalez lasted just 5 1/3 innings, marking the seventh time in the past nine games he has failed to record more than an out in the sixth inning.

"It's a long season," said Gonzalez who has pitched to a 5.48 ERA over the past nine games, allowing 28 earned runs on 59 hits and 14 walks over that stretch.
