SARASOTA, Fla. -- Orioles starter Miguel Gonzalez made his Grapefruit League debut in less-than-thrilling fashion on Thursday, allowing seven runs on eight hits to the Rays over 1 1/3 innings. Tampa Bay beat Baltimore, 10-3.
"They didn't even let me breathe out there. It was tough. They were swinging at that first pitch," said Gonzalez, who allowed three runs before he recorded a second out. "The positive side is that I didn't walk anyone, and physically I feel fine. I'm ready to go. It was just a tough one to think about. Obviously, the results weren't there.
