Someone, somewhere may be able to muster some excitement for an Orioles game where Dan Straily is the starting pitcher. I am not that person.
In six games as an Oriole, he’s sitting on a 7.43 ERA and, amazingly, an even worse FIP of 8.00, probably because he’s only struck out 11 batters while walking 10 in 23 innings. When batters do make contact, it hasn’t gone well for him, with Straily having contributed eight of the team’s 80 home runs allowed. He is here to eat innings and he’s not even really doing that.
