Are you enjoying the World Series so far? I’m sure not. After yesterday’s travel day, the Fall Classic resumes tonight in Los Angeles, where the Dodgers will try to make the series somewhat competitive. But let’s face it — they probably won’t. The Red Sox will steamroll to a sweep, because the universe is cruel and unforgiving.
In the meantime, other MLB teams are doing stuff. There were six managerial vacancies (including the Orioles) when the regular season ended, but now we’re down to two. The Twins and Blue Jays filled theirs yesterday by hiring a couple of Rays coaches, Rocco Baldelli and Charlie Montoyo, respectively, just days after the Reds hired David Bell and the Angels resuscitated Brad Ausmus.
