Good Morning, Birdland,
Well, that Cubs series was a real bummer, huh? The Orioles’ bats were seemingly asleep all series long, and the pitching wasn’t all that much better. So, it’s no wonder they got swept for the third time this season, two of which have come at the hands of an NL Central team. What’s up with that?
It’s been a tough stretch for the Orioles. Going back to the start of the Astros series on June 21, the O’s are 8-10 over their last 18 games. It’s not great, and yet, they have catapulted into first place in the AL East because the Yankees have been far, far worse in that same time.
