Former Orioles infielder Mike Bordick threw his name into the mix to be the club’s next manager Thursday.
Bordick, who currently broadcasts games for MASN and on the Orioles Radio Network, told Press Box’s Glenn Clark Radio that he was interested in succeeding Buck Showalter. Showalter was told Wednesday he wouldn’t be back in a culling that also saw executive vice president Dan Duquette relieved of his duties as his contract expired as well.
“Who wouldn't want to jump at an opportunity to manage the Orioles?”Bordick said on the show Thursday.
