Former Orioles outfielder Delmon Young was arrested late Sunday night in Miami on a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly choking and threatening to kill a valet, police said Monday.
According to the report, Young grabbed the attendant by the throat after he refused him entry into an elevator that led to a closed nightclub at the Viceroy hotel. Police said Young shouted, "Stupid Cuban. Open the [expletive door],” then walked away for a moment before returning.
Young then yelled, “I’m gonna [expletive] kill you, you Latin piece of [expletive],” according to the report, before reaching over the valet stand and grabbing the man’s neck for about five seconds.
