Ex-Yankee pitcher Kevin Brown reportedly thwarts mailbox theft by hiding in yard and holding alleged thieves at gunpoint

Following reports of stolen mail in the area, Brown hid in a neighbor’s yard and waited to catch the alleged criminals in the act. The 53-year-old then pounced and held the two individuals – a 15-year-old and another man – at gunpoint until deputies arrived, according to The Herald.

Georgia is one of more than two dozen states that have “Stand Your Ground” laws. It is likely Brown will cite Georgia’s “Stand Your Ground” law as defense for drawing his weapon.
