Given everything former first-round pick Dylan Bundy has gone through, Orioles manager Buck Showalter wants to temper expectations as he returns from three years of elbow and shoulder troubles and is tabbed for the major league bullpen this season.
Yet in the same breath, Showalter dropped the idea that Bundy, who has thrown 63 1/3 innings since undergoing elbow reconstruction surgery in 2013, could build himself up to the point that he’s a candidate to start games this season.
“I try and slow down my enthusiasm,” Showalter said. “He’s been through so much.
