CHICAGO -- A day after seeing star third baseman Manny Machado return to the lineup, the Orioles were dealt another blow to the middle of their order.
First baseman Chris Davis is expected to go on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday with a Grade 1 right oblique strain, according to Orioles manager Buck Showalter.
Davis had an MRI at 9 a.m. in Chicago on Tuesday to confirm the strain, and he was set to return to Baltimore on Tuesday night to begin his rehab. Showalter said he didn't have enough information to set a timetable for Davis' return.
