New Orioles outfielder/DH Mark Trumbo could probably run for mayor of Baltimore after his performance in the first 10 games of the new season. He already has five home runs and 11 RBI after becoming the first Oriole to hit two home runs in the same inning on Friday night.
His start is reminiscent of bargain free agent Nelson Cruz, who arrived in Baltimore in 2014 and homered in the first two games of the season on the way to a terrific April performance and an MVP-caliber season.
Cruz didn't do anything this dramatic over the first two weeks of the season, but he hit seven home runs and had 25 RBI in April on the way to 40 homers and 108 RBI.
