PHILADELPHIA -- Alex Cobb took his 10th loss of the season as the Orioles fell to the Phillies, 3-2, at a rainy Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday night.
Cobb has struggled mightily in his first year in Baltimore, allowing five or more runs in half of his 14 starts entering Tuesday. Such was not the case against the Phillies -- he allowed three earned runs on four hits in 6 2/3 innings, four of which were 1-2-3 frames -- but walks and timely hitting from the Phillies cost the O's a chance at a win.
Cobb allowed a two-out walk in the third before Rhys Hoskins knocked a two-run double to get the Phillies on the board.
