Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman said after Saturday night’s game that he is not worried about lower back spasms that pushed him out of consideration to start Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels.
“I'm not all that concerned about it. I've had it before,” Tillman said. “Trying to be careful with it and not make it worse than it has to be, so I think we've got time. We've got the off-day (Monday), so we want to play it safe.”
Tillman originally was scheduled to pitch Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners, but when Bud Norris was scratched this weekend due to bronchitis, the rotation members were expected to move up a slot, with Ubaldo Jimenez starting Saturday and Tillman penciled in for Sunday.
