ARLINGTON -- Andrew Cashner couldn't stop the bleeding in his return to Texas.
The Orioles' right-handed starter, who made 28 starts for the Rangers last season, struggled in an abbreviated outing on Thursday. He allowed a career-high 10 runs on seven hits in a 17-8 loss to the Rangers at Globe Life Park. Cashner lasted just 1 2/3 innings, his shortest start of the season.
Cashner was backed with an early lead in the first inning, when Mark Trumbo scored Jonathan Villar on a groundout, but the Rangers answered quickly.
