Can the Orioles buy enough pitching to fix this rotation?

Another MLB Draft has come and gone with Mike Elias & Co. showing little interest in investing in pitching through the draft. Last year, the O’s set a record for the earliest-drafted pitcher of the Elias era, taking Jackson Baumeister with the 63rd pick. This year, the Orioles once again waited until outside the Top 100 picks, selecting Chase Allsup with pick 127.

Some might look at this lack of willingness to spend premium resources on the organization’s pitching depth as a reason for concern. But don’t worry, Birdland, this is all part of the plan.
