Former Chicago Cubs and Tampa Bay Rays left-hander Jeff Beliveau said that his surgically repaired shoulder has healed to the point where he can pitch alongside the other candidates for a middle relief role in the Orioles bullpen.
Beliveau, who made 30 appearances and pitched to a 2.63 ERA for the Rays in 2014 before suffering a labrum tear last year, signed with the O's as a minor league free agent in December. He's 29 years old and has made just 58 relief appearances in his major league career, but he has been effective when healthy and has more strikeouts than innings pitched.
