After only getting three hits in Wednesday’s 4-3 loss to the Mets, Brandon Hyde implored his offense to get it in gear to support this struggling pitching staff. Instead, the Orioles responded by only getting three hits again as they were dominated by Astros’ rookie Spencer Arrighetti.
The Orioles had a couple of scoring opportunities early, but never managed to string together the hits they needed. Gunnar Henderson lined a two-out double into the right-center gap in the bottom of the 1st to give the O’s their first runner in scoring position.
