Sitting in the visiting dugout of Citi Field, Orioles manager Buck Showalter peered out and surveyed an unfamiliar field, taking note of its vast foul ground.
It's just the Orioles' second trip to this ballpark, which opened in 2009, so Showalter and his team are unfamiliar with it, but he has seen enough to label it a pitchers' park.
It's a small sample size, but the Orioles haven't done much offensively in four games at Citi Field, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Mets in the opener of a two-game interleague series.
