Apparently the Baltimore Orioles are in trade talks with the Chicago Cubs involving reliever Tommy Hunter – this according to MASN’s Roch Kubatko. The prospective deal would send Hunter to the “friendly confines,” send the Orioles a prospect in return, and save the Birds approximately $1.5 million in salary. So…what do we think about that prospect?
Speaking for myself, it would come in as a relatively low-level move. However it would clear a spot in the bullpen, and help the Orioles to re-stock their minor league system. During last night’s game there were also rumors circulating that the Orioles were looking to acquire either Geraldo Parra from Milwaukee or Ben Revere from Philadelphia.
