According to this article by Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun, the Baltimore Orioles have already made a competitive offer on free agent reliever Darren O’Day. Over four seasons with the Orioles, O’Day has a record of 23-8, and an ERA of 1.92. He’s also turned into a team leader and all but a sure thing at the back end of the bullpen.
Needless to say, O’Day would be a valuable asset to have back for the Orioles. I’m on record as saying that Davis and even Chen might be a bit more important (if we’re ranking them) than O’Day in terms of keeping, however Orioles fans should take heart in knowing that the O’s are in on their now former reliever.
