It’s been a rough start to the 2019 season for Baltimore Orioles right-hander Dan Straily.
The 30-year-old has an ERA of 9.09 and is just 1-4 in eight starts in nine appearances so far this season.
In his latest outing which came Wednesday night, Straily was beaten up by the New York Yankees allowing six runs on eight hits and only getting two swinging strikes from Yankees hitters.
The Orioles signed Straily on April 5th after he was released by the Miami Marlins late in spring training. He was thought to be a depth piece in a Baltimore Orioles pitching staff badly in need of inning eaters.
