Baltimore Orioles: Brad Brach wins arbitration case

The Baltimore Orioles hadn’t lost an arbitration case since 1996 vs. Ben McDonald. However, their win-streak was snapped on Friday morning when an arbitrator ruled in favor of reliever Brad Brach. Brach will make $3.05 Million for the 2017 season.

The Orioles were 11-1 in arbitration cases entering Thursday, making Brach’s win more noteworthy. Brach had a strong case in his favor after going 10-4 with a 2.05 ERA in 71 appearances. Brach also earned the first All-Star nod of his career in 2016.

This is the second time Brach has been eligible for arbitration in his career.
