After months of a lockout, the Baltimore Orioles gathered in Sarasota Monday to start spring training.
The Orioles trained together at Ed Smith Stadium, the first time they have been on the diamond together since last season.
Just last week, it was not clear if there would be an MLB season. The MLB was in a lockout that lasted 99 days, the second-longest lockout in league history
Due to the lockout, Orioles Manager Brandon Hyde did not have contact with the team for four months.
"I was just so excited to call our players -- that was the hardest part, was the four months of not being able to communicate with your guys," Hyde told WBAL-TV 11s Pete Gilbert.
